The Agricultural Program prevents the introduction of exotic pests harmful to California agriculture. Principal Activities include monitoring pest conditions throughout San Francisco, inspecting and certifying local farmers markets and producers, and issuing Phytosanitary Certificates for agricultural shipments from San Francisco to foreign countries.

The Pesticide Use Enforcement Program ensures the proper and safe application of pesticides by homeowners and industry in the City and County of San Francisco. This is accomplished through registration and inspection of pest control operators, pest control advisors, or maintenance gardeners working in San Francisco. 

The Weights and Measures Program protects consumers by ensuring the accuracy of scales, meters, and other weighing or measuring devices used commercially. If you have a device that weighs or measures quantities for customer transactions, you must register your device.  Devices used for estimation (not a calculating a price) do not need to be registered.
