Russel Morine

Russel Morine is a consultant at the Renaissance Entrepreneur Center, where he coaches and mentors socially and economically diverse women and men to increase their entrepreneurial capacities to help strengthen communities through the creation of sustainable new businesses, new jobs, and the promotion of financial self‐sufficiency. The majority of the center's clients are women and people of color; ninety percent are low income, and one in eight is living with a disability. Prior to working at the center, Mr. Morine was a housing and community resource developer for A Place to Call Home, where he worked to build partnerships between businesses, community organizations, and the Veterans Administration to ensure housing for veterans in need. He is a resident and community advocate in Visitacion Valley/Bayview Hunters Point. Mr. Morine's experience in small business ownership, environmental compliance management, and community development, as well as his education in city and regional planning, has significantly contributed to the design and direction of SFCIF’s NMTC business strategy. Mr. Morine earned a BA in geology and urban studies from San Francisco State University and a Master of City Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.
