The Fire Department will look into reported hazards.

What to do
1. Decide if you should report
If there is a life threatening emergency, call 911.
You can report other safety issues like:
- Missing or expired fire alarms
- Missing smoke detectors
- Blocked hallways, stairs, or doors
- PIles of clutter
- Missing or expired fire extinguishers
- Missing sprinklers at garbage chutes
- Missing emergency lighting
- Businesses operating without the right permits
- Overcrowding at an event
- Block or locked access to the roof
- Unsafe conditions
- Unsecured vacant building
2. Gather information for your report
To inspect the issue, we will need information about:
- Building address
- Location within the building (floor level, unit number)
- The safety issue
- Onsite contact name and information, if available
- Hours of operations, if available
3. Call 311
4. After you report
You will get a tracking number from 311.
