Zoe Halsne

Born and raised in the east bay, Zoe (she/they) earned a degree in Film & TV with a minor in Creative Writing at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. While at NYU, they participated in writing and producing programs in Paris, London, and Sydney. Zoe was also an unscripted development intern at Optomen Productions and MTV, as well as a programmer for Fusion Film Festival. After graduation Zoe moved back to California where they worked as a freelance production assistant for independent films before transitioning to work in Los Angeles for several arts nonprofits including the Geffen Playhouse, Film Independent, and the Sundance Institute.
Passionate about the local film community, Zoe was grateful for the opportunity to return to the bay area to work in marketing and development for SFFILM, including helping to support annual film events such as the San Francisco International Film Festival and Doc Stories. Most recently Zoe worked as a visual effects production assistant at Industrial Light & Magic, earning credits on films like Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Candy Cane Lane. In their spare time Zoe enjoys running in 5K races, travelling to new countries, going to Warriors games, and watching movies at the Marina Theatre.
