John Halpin

Halpin is the Associate Dean of Workforce Development at City College of San Francisco (CCSF). As the Associate Dean of Workforce Development, he provides oversight of CCSF’s pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeships, career services, the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation— which is a College-wide incubator of ideas that students bring to life from concept development to impact— work experience education, Perkins Career and Technical Education (CTE) Act funding, and overall workforce program funding. Halpin has spent 25 years supporting workforce development programs across the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to working at CCSF, he served as the Director of Program Operations for the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development, and the Deputy Director of Jewish Vocational Service.
