What to expect with a routine housing inspection
- Housing Inspection Services (from the Department of Building Inspection) will send you a letter. It will have an inspection date.
- The letter will also include a maintenance checklist. The checklist is an overview of what the inspector will look for.
- On the inspection date, the inspector will inspect the property. They will make sure that minimum standards are maintained. They will also look for health and safety hazards.
