We inspect apartments in buildings with 3 or more units. We look for vermin infestations and other health hazards in:

  • Common areas
  • Yards
  • Garbage storage areas
  • Lobbies

We also inspect homes for asthma patients and families with lead-poisoned children.

Hotel and emergency shelter inspections

We inspect hotels and emergency shelters such as:

  • Single room occupancy hotels
  • Transitional homes
  • Tourist hotels
  • Family single room occupancies (SROs)
  • Drop-in centers
  • Drug treatment centers

We make sure conditions are safe and healthy for residents. We also provide training and resources to owners, residents, and the general public.
