Our campus is located across the street from the Forest Hill Muni station and is served by the K, M and T lines.
It is also served by bus routes 36, 43 and 44 and 52

Laguna Honda is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center owned and operated by the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Located on a 62-acre campus in the heart of the city, Laguna Honda is one of the largest skilled nursing facilities in the United States, and represents the one of the most extensive commitments by any city or county to therapeutic care for seniors and adults with disabilities.Additional location info

Laguna Honda Shuttle
Laguna Honda has a shuttle that runs Monday through Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm

Visiting a Resident at Laguna Honda
Entrance safety screenings for visitors:
- Visitors are to remove jackets, sweaters, scarves, hats, and other bulky clothing items for inspection.
- Visitors are to empty pockets for inspection.
- Staff will use a handheld metal detector wand and do a visual inspection.
- If the wand beeps, staff will do a “pat down” search.
- If the visual inspection suggests bulges, items in pockets, or is inconclusive, staff will do a “pat down” search.
- Visitors are not allowed personal items
- Visitors may have keys, a phone, or wallet but cannot enter with a bag, purse, or any other larger personal items. There are limited exceptions, such as medical devices or medications needed in an emergency. Items may be stored in a locker, but we encourage visitors to leave personal items at home or stored safely in the car. Laguna Honda is not responsible for any items stored in cars.
- All items brought for residents must be inspected or they will not be allowed in the facility.
COVID-19 guidelines
- Do NOT come to campus with COVID-19 symptoms.
- Visitors ages 2 and older must wear the mask provided by Laguna Honda during the visit.
- When Laguna Honda is on outbreak status, visitors must wear the eye protection and respirator provided by Laguna Honda during the visit.
- Visitors who are unwilling to follow COVID-19 safety best practices may be asked to leave.
- We may cancel visits on short notice.
Additional guidelines for visits
- No photos or videos.
- Visitors cannot bring pets. Service animals are always welcome.
- Visitors are welcome to bring food, flowers, or other gifts for residents.

Parking
There is very limited parking for visitors at Laguna Honda. It is clearly marked with green visitor parking signs. Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation.
