Apply for a Legacy Business Grant
If you run a Legacy Business, you can get up to $50,000 to help your business stay in San Francisco.
What to know
Legacy Business
Your business must be a Legacy Business, approved by the Office of Small Business.
What to do
1. Apply for a Legacy Business Grant
If the Office of Small Business has decided that you run a Legacy Business, you can apply for a yearly grant of up to $50,000.
2. Have your business records
You will need to know:
- rent (yearly)
- revenue (gross)
- how many full-time employees you have
(with proof of how much you paid them and the hours they worked) - when your business closed, between July 1, 2018, and June 30, 2019
3. Know your spending
If you got a grant last year, you need to tell us what you spent the grant on.
You need to tell us what you plan to spend this year’s grant on.
4. Tell the City
You will need to tell us about any business stabilization grants from City in the past 3 years.
If you are a City Supplier, you will need your Supplier ID.
If you are a bidder with the City and County of San Francisco, we need your Bidder ID.
