Check Paid Sick Leave coverage

The City has updated our guidance about Paid Sick Leave for COVID-19. Check if paid sick leave is available to you.

File an unemployment claim if you have reduced work hours

If your employer has reduced your hours or shut down operations due to COVID-19, file an Unemployment Insurance (UI) claim with the State of California.

File a disability claim if you are sick or quarantined

If you cannot work because you have or were exposed to COVID-19, file a Disability Insurance (DI) claim with the State of California. A medical professional must certify your claim.

File a Paid Family Leave claim if you are caregiving

If you cannot work because you are caring for an ill or quarantined family member with COVID-19, file a Paid Family Leave (PFL) claim with the State of California. A medical professional must certify your claim.
