After you finish shooting, send in final paperwork for the Scene in San Francisco rebate program.

Film SF must have already given you a letter of conditional eligibility for your project. See how to apply for a rebate for filming in SF.

What to do

2. Send us the forms and other production documents

Attach to the email:

  • Form C
  • Form D
  • Form E
  • Local community expenditures report
  • Copy of business license
  • Final budget, below-the-line expenses only, signed by a production representative
  • General ledger associated with the Form D, with the vendor name
  • Complete crew list (alphabetical and by county)
  • Vendor List (alphabetical and by county of vendor headquarters)
  • Production shooting schedule
  • Daily production reports

Special cases

Keeping project information confidential

Rebate applications are considered to be public record. We are required to disclose information about them if we receive a sunshine request. 

You can request that parts of your application be exempt from disclosure. Give us a letter with your initial application with:

  • The confidential information identified
  • Reasons why we must not disclose the information to the public

We reserve the right to determine whether the information you want to stay confidential may be withheld from disclosure. We will let you know.

Appealing the rebate

If you disagree with the outcome of the rebate, you can appeal.

After you submit the rebate package

We will mail a check to your production company address in 1 to 2 months.
