Professional Registrations

The purpose of a Process Server registration is to make available to the public the registration of any person who, for specific compensation, makes more than ten services of process within this state during a calendar year.

Legal Document Assistant registration is required for those who, for compensation, assist the public in filing legal papers for any self-help service for members of the public representing themselves in a legal matter. Legal Document Assistant registration is required in each county where the services are performed.

The purpose of an Unlawful Detainer Assistant registration is to make available to the public the registration of any person or entity who, for compensation, renders assistance or advice for members of the public who are representing themselves in an unlawful detainer matter.
