What to do
1. Prepare your information
The census will ask you a few questions:
-
How many people are living or staying at the address?
-
Do you own or rent your home?
-
Your phone number
-
Your first and last name
-
Your sex
-
Your age and date of birth
-
Your ethnicity and race
These questions are for the "householder." The householder will fill out census information for all relatives living with them.

The Census Bureau is required by law to protect your personal information. Your information is confidential and secure.
